Our Little Christmas Miracle

Christmas Sweater
Y'all! This sweater is probably the most comfy one I own and is currently on sale!! woot woot!! make sure you check out the link above to get yours before they sell out!

So I'm one of the biggest cheeseballs you'll ever meet. I'm obsessed with Hallmark shows and love the cliche Christmas miracle stories. The cheesier the better in my opinion. Two years ago this past

week Eric and I got our very own Christmas miracle that I wanted to share. To give you a little back story, we had been trying to get pregnant for a while and eventually I found out I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) the simplest way to explain it is I have a bunch of tiny cysts on my ovaries that make it difficult to ovulate which you need to do if you want to get pregnant. Along with this, because of some other complications I was told that if I did get pregnant I had a high likelihood of miscarrying. We found this out around Thanksgiving and I was devastated. I started to feel like personally having kids might not be in the cards for me. I just remember feeling hopeless. I prayed  and prayed that if we were meant to have kids that I would be able to get pregnant by the time we went to Texas for Christmas to see my family. If we got pregnant, this would be the first grandchild for my parents and if  it was meant to happen I really wanted to be able to tell them in person. One week to the day before we drove to Texas I started feeling nauseous and spoiler alert found out I was pregnant! The doctors were just as shocked as I was and it kind of hit me that it was an answer to my many many prayers.

We alternate Christmas every other year between my family and Eric's, so this will be out first Christmas in Texas with Tyson and I was just reminded of what a tender mercy that time of year was for us. I hope everyone takes time out of the business of the season to notice and appreciate their own tiny miracles this season!
